GridPoint had 200 field engineers servicing solar installations across three states. Dispatch used a whiteboard, technicians called in status updates by phone, and customer ETAs were guesses. The company was growing 40% year-over-year and the manual process was about to collapse.
Solution
What we built
We built a real-time dispatch and monitoring platform: a web dashboard for the ops centre, a mobile app for field engineers, and a customer-facing status page. Location data updates every 30 seconds, job assignments auto-optimise for travel distance, and customers get accurate ETA notifications. The system handles 50,000 location pings per hour at peak.
